"A Private Universe."

Today in class we watched a movie called "A Private Universe." Its about the misconception's people have about science. And on each question they ask to graduates, students in school, my professor wanted us to write down what we think the answer is.

Why do we have season's?

We have season's because the Earth axis moves directly around the Sun. And when the Sun moves around the Earth, the Earth starts to undergo changes of the seasons.
When the sun is tilted at a certain area over the Earth, it creates more area.

Why do we have different shapes of the moon?

We have different shapes of the moon because the moon and the sun rotates around the Earth. And the sun illuminates different shapes of the moon.

My first day in Earth Science for Educators.

Walking to class.

My first day for Science for Educators went really well. We got to do an exercise for demonstrating how something as little as an chocolate covered peanut can represent something as big as the layers of the earth! The peanut represents the inner core, the chocolate represents the outer core and the mantle, and the sugar coating represents the earth crust.
